Gifted and Talented

The Gifted & Talented program helps students who are displaying exceptional performance in particular learning areas to reach their full potential. It is important that students who have outstanding potential are given opportunities to develop their gifts and talents.

Identification processes are inclusive, valid, flexible and continuous. Our school uses teacher judgement along with various standardised tests to identify Gifted & Talented students, examples of standardised testing includes NAPLAN, Monitoring Standards in Education and International Competitions and Assessment for Schools.   

Our school provides school-based provision to enable gifts and talents of students to emerge, be identified and fostered. Our teachers provide a challenging and enriched program for all students. Gifted & Talented students also have many opportunities to develop their gifts and talents through various supplementary provisions such as; Engquest Challenge, Tournament of the Minds and Have Sum Fun Online.
